8 months and nursery sneak peak

How Far Along: 8 months

Size of baby:  Almost 3.75 pounds and he's about 16.7 inches long.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 15 pounds gained.
Maternity Clothes: yes. Lots of maxi dresses and leggings!
Gender: boy!! Sweet baby Wyatt!!
Movement: He's a crazy lil thang!! He's very active! So much so, sometimes it hurts.
Sleep: I guess I've been blessed with a smooth pregnancy because up until now is when I've started having trouble sleeping. I got this peeing in my sleep down! His movement keeps me up a lot too.
Symptoms: I get really tired in the afternoons. Also, my back is killing me!  I am trying so hard not to waddle. Maybe I'm in denial because I thought I was doing fine with the no waddling thing until a stranger in the office pointed it out...fail.
What I miss: normal clothes.
Cravings: nothing really..just food in general :)
Best Moment this week: setting up his nursery!
What I am looking forward to: going through all his cute little clothes and washing and folding them.

Because I've had to order almost everything online, the nursery has been slow coming. It's okay though,  I'd rather have everything thought out and how I really want it. It's been a bit of a compromise because we live in a 2 bedroom apartment so before the nursery, it was my craft room/Joseph's office. I've downsized my craft area since and we found a smaller desk for Joseph. I can't wait to do a full nursery tour but until then, here's a sneak peak:

I kept going back and forth about whether I wanted to paint some curtains or go with this idea with canvas drop cloths. I'm so glad I went with the drop cloths because as much ironing as I've had to do, I think the painting would have taken longer. I loved the way it turned out too!! The best thing about it was that thanks to some Heat n Bond, it was a NO SEW project!!

30 weeks

How Far Along: 30  Weeks

Size of baby:  Almost 3 pounds and he's about 15.7 inches long.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 11 pounds gained.
Maternity Clothes: yes. It's getting harder to find stuff to wear to work.
Gender: boy!! Sweet baby Wyatt!!
Movement: I can feel AND see him kicking. It is such a great feeling seeing and watching him move but it's kinda weird watching my stomach move around.
Sleep: it's good but I still have a hard time sleeping on my side.
Symptoms: I get really tired from after lunch into the afternoon.
What I miss: normal clothes.
Cravings: nothing really..just food in general :)
Best Moment this week:  watching Joseph get excited when he sees the baby moving. AND finding out that I DON'T have gestational diabetes. I wasn't too worried but I'm glad I don't have it.
What I am looking forward to: putting together the nursery and ordering my crib bedding!
Here's a swatch of the fabrics:
So this will be the colors of the nursery with some forrest green thrown in there.

On a different note, please pray for everyone involved with the Ponderosa fire. Good news is they're on their way to containing it but it's still huge. It's given us a scare because it's gotten really close to camp.

28 Weeks..7 months yall!

Time is definitely flying by! We cannot wait to meet him! I feel him move a lot in the evenings and I wonder what he's doing in there. He must know the Olympics are on because he's doing his own little gymnastic moves in there :)  I know this for sure because I have to pee ever other minute!

How Far Along: 28 Weeks

Size of baby:  Two and a quarter pounds and he's about 14.8 inches long.
Total Weight Gain/Loss:  9 pounds.
Maternity Clothes: yes.
Gender: boy!! Sweet baby Wyatt!!
Movement: I can feel AND see him kicking. Best feeling ever!!
Sleep: It's better than what I expected.
Symptoms: I get really tired from after lunch into the afternoon.
What I miss: normal clothes.
Cravings: nothing really..just food in general :)
Best Moment this week: Feeling AND seeing the baby move. A few weeks ago I had my laptop sitting on my stomach and he kicked it off! I wish Joseph would've been here to see it. He definitely does not like anything on his "home". I also felt him hiccuping for the first time yesterday!
What I am looking forward to: cuddling with my little BOY!!

I just had to share these. My fabulous sister works for a company that owns UGG so I ordered these through her. I also got a pair for a sweet friend who's also pregnant. Wyatt's first pair of UGGs!!! They are the softest things ever!

My Reminder

I don't like to post about my situation during the summers because of all the creepers out there. But I'm sure you know if you're family or a friend. It's what God has planned for us and I wouldn't change it for the world. But it doesn't mean that some days/nights aren't hard. It seems like these past few weeks have been hard and my prayer has been that through it all, my heart is and will always be pure and in the right place. This song - Your Presence is Heaven to Me by Israel Houghton has been my go to song. It gets me every time. I have it on repeat, I turn it up when it comes on KLove, I sing my lungs out (with my windows rolled up, of course!), I'm reminded of my place here versus in heaven, tears roll down my face every time the line "Jesus, You're the cup that won't run dry" is sung.

Your Presence is Heaven to Me

Who is like You Lord in all the earth?
Matchless love and beauty endless worth
Nothing in this world can satisfy
Cause, Jesus, You're the cup that won't run dry

Your presence is Heaven to me
Your presence is Heaven to me

Treasure of my heart and of my soul
In my weakness You are merciful
Redeemer of my past and present wrong
Holder of my future days to come

Your presence is Heaven to me
Your presence is Heaven to me

Your presence is Heaven to me
Your presence is Heaven to me

Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus
Your presence is Heaven to me
Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus
Your presence is Heaven to me
All my days on earth I will await
The moment that I see You face to face
Nothing in this world can satisfy
Cause, Jesus, You're the cup that won't run dry

Nothing in this world can satisfy
Cause, Jesus, You're the cup that won't run dry
Jesus, You're the cup that won't run dry
Your presence is Heaven to me
Your presence is Heaven to me

Your presence is Heaven to me
Your presence is Heaven to me

Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus
Your presence is Heaven to me
Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus
Your presence is Heaven to me
Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus
Your presence is Heaven to me
Oh Jesus, Oh Jesus
Your presence is Heaven to me

6 Months and Then Some

This is my 22 weeks picture. I thought I had posted it but I must've forgot. Blame it on the pregnancy :)

6 months and a week!

How Far Along: 6 months

Size of baby:  A little over a pound and about a foot long.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: All together, 7 pounds. I was a little worried because I thought I was suppose to be gaining a pound a week but my doctor says the baby is completely fine.
Maternity Clothes: yes.
Gender: boy!!
Movement: I can feel AND see him kicking. Best feeling ever!!
Sleep: It's hard sleeping on my side but I think it'll get better as my belly grows. But I'm so thankful I'm sleeping through the night!
Symptoms: I get really tired from after lunch into the afternoon.
What I miss: not much.
Cravings: This week it's chocolate. Although I've been really good about not pigging out on it, I can't stop thinking about it since I had hot chocolate in San Francisco!
Best Moment this week: Feeling AND seeing the baby move.
What I am looking forward to: meeting our little BOY!!

I have to tell you about my last appointment. So I've been reading tons of articles online about pregnancy/pregnancy experiences. On top of that, I finished watching the last few episodes of Private Practice right before my appointment. This was the appointment where my doctor was going to go over my sonogram I just had. In the back of my mind, I knew that she would have called me in if something was really wrong. I couldn't help it. It snowballed and I freaked out :) If you watch the show, you'll know how worried I was about my baby not having a brain. On the show, one of the doctors gave birth to a baby with no brain. I'm not gonna lie, I cried and cried. It was so sad! So come time for my appointment, I waited for it; I waited for my doctor to tell me my baby had no brain. Don't panic, all is good. My baby boy is healthy and has all his fingers and toes :) Needless to say, I need to stop Googling everything and watching shows like Private Practice.

I'm a lot late at sharing this picture but Joseph's family came to visit us! It was such a treat! We miss them already!!

Maternity Clothes: yes
Gender: boy!!
Movement: He's very active!! Joseph felt him move for the first time a couple days ago!
Sleep: It's hard sleeping on my side but I think it'll get better as my belly grows. But I'm so thankful I'm sleeping through the night!

15 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 15 weeks

Size of baby:  About 4 inches long and weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. About the size of an apple.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've stayed the same. I changed my work out routine a little before I got pregnant. I'm not running half as much as I use to and started spinning. I think that may be the reason why my weight has stayed the same.

Maternity Clothes: I gave in. I didn't want to but I had to. I went to Ross and found the cheapest pair I could. Let me tell ya, pregnant or not every lady needs to try on a pair. MOST COMFORTABLE THING EVER!!
Gender: We're dying to find out!! Next Month!!
Movement: I think I felt something a couple days ago! I sure hope it was the baby and not just my stomach rumbling but I always get fooled by that! It felt like popcorn popping in my stomach!
Sleep: surprisingly good!! I only have to get up once to pee and I swear I'm asleep during the whole process. I think what helps a lot is having a pillow between my legs and another one supporting my back.
Symptoms: Just hungry all the time. I think I got lucky with morning sickness. Praise Jesus!
What I miss: nothing since my last post
Cravings: Anything sweet! And peanut butter and honey sandwiches.
Best Moment this week: Feeling the baby move...at least I think it was the baby. Joseph won't believe me.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender :)

Completely off topic but I have to talk about this show!! If you haven't seen it, you must! It is by far my favorite show ever! It's about a redneck family who have made millions by making duck calls. It's such a Beverly Hillbillies story. It is so hilarious and the best thing is, they love Jesus and they're all about family!!
It's on A&E...sadly we don't have cable so we have to wait til the next day to watch it on a&e.com. If you're familiar with this show, Uncle Sy is out favorite. He is SO funny! I would love to meet him!
