Anniversary Weekend!!

We celebrated our ONE year anniversary last weekend! No longer newlyweds!! We were fortunate enough to spend it in San Francisco! Thanks to Scott Luff and his HUGE heart! This is a whole post in itself but I am truly grateful that Joseph gets to work next to a man like Scott!!

We stayed in a town called Tiburon. We usually stay in downtown San Fran when we go but for some reason, all the hotel prices were jacked up. Tiburon is the most ritzy place ever!!! Seriously, I didn't see one ugly car or dog! You look around you and all you see are mansions nestled into the mountains.
Seriously, what do these people do to get to live here?!

Everywhere you went, you saw bikers. They were like extreme bikers in the spandex outfits and cycling shoes that click with every step. If this isn't your hobby in Tiburon, you're kinda weird. Like us, who walked into a cafe to get some breakfast and all we saw were bikers in there.

I thought this was so cool. Just a minute away from our hotel was the bay and you can see San Francisco in the background!

San Francisco is just a ferry ride away from Tiburon. It would have been neat to ride the ferry but we decided to drive in so we can cross the Golden Gate Bridge.

We woke up early on Saturday to eat at the Cliffhouse. This is a tradition and I'm sure it's a tradition because of their bomb popovers. I could eat these things all day!! I tried making them once...just to try to impress Joseph with my wifely skills. Whatever came out of the oven didn't impress him...at all. Ha!

Joseph's usual-- Eggs benedict

We then made our way to Pier 39 to do some touristy stuff. We stopped at the Boudin to get some amazing sour dough.

How cool is that!

We watched some performers do their thang for some moola! I've seen this performance before and it was just as cool the second time around.

This is the only picture of us. I look awkward, yes. We might have double chins but I promise they don't look as bad as they do in this photo :)

Later that evening we drove back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We made our way back into SF to Ruth's Chris and they had this lovely table set up for us!! The food was SOOOO good!!!

After dinner, we were surprised with this. I didn't feel bad about eating everything on this plate! After all, we were celebrating :) Plus, we had been walking all day!

It was so nice to get away for a bit. Now it's back to reality. After all that bad eating, I'm back at the gym and I'm ready to kick this Turkey Trot's booty!
