O Death, Where Is Your Sting?

One of the things I love the most is church. This is a time where I am filled and reenergized for the upcoming week. I love that I get to sit next to Joseph as we worship and hear God's Word together. Since we've been out of town, this was our first time back in the new year. We sang Christ Is Risen by Matt Maher. I absolutely love this song and if I'm alone in the car, you know I'll be belting it out. I think I just outed myself on how well I do not sing.

I believe with all my heart that Christ has risen and one glorious day, we'll be with Him! AND in the most perfect form; no more hurt, no more pain. Good bye love handles! ;)

Let no one caught in sin remain

Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake, come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell, no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night

O death, where is your sting?
O hell, where is your victory?
O church, come stand in the light
Our God is not dead
He's alive! He's alive!

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25-26
